Streamlining the Real Estate Process
In the fast-paced world of real estate today, it is vital to stay in touch with your clients through the use of modern technology. I make sure that my cell phone, tablet and laptop are always in good working order. I like to answer texts from my clients immediately, and sometimes a phone call simply takes to much time.
To streamline the process of buying and selling a home, I like to use email and online document management systems. Today it is possible to legally sign documents online, and I believe this is smart for a number of reasons.
First, with online document management, paperwork gets signed quickly. Once paperwork is signed we can move forward with the process of buying or selling your home. Second, paperwork doesn't get lost, and we don't have to spend time trying to track down missing paperwork. Lastly, using electronic documents is an earth-friendly alternative to generating too much paper.
Before we had cell phones, we had to search maps or get directions ahead of time to a new property. Now all I have to do is punch in an address into my navigator, and I reach the property on time without getting lost. Although it is a small piece of the puzzle, simply using a navigation system saves precious work time.
Other benefits of using technology include the ability to search new listings from almost anywhere, and to find up to date information on comps in the area. Getting ready to list a property is simple with a good internet connection and a device to search on.
Being a Realtor is hard work, but the work is streamlined with the use of up to date technology. I can no longer imagine working without a smart phone, laptop, and tablet. Thanks to new technology, I don't have to imagine this.
