Outdoor Entertaining In Style
As the weather warms up, nothing beats enjoying the outdoors with friends and family. Entertaining at home is a great way to spend time with the people that matter most in the comfort of your own yard. It doesn't matter how big or small your property is, there are many ways to get creative and make your own outdoor living space.
My family loves to have our friends over for BBQs. We have recently put up a projector screen so we can enjoy movies under the stars. We have a speaker system that allows us to play music from the stereo inside the house. My husband also built a tree fort for the kids, so that is also a popular hangout when they have friends over. Creating a great outdoor space is easy and there are so many affordable pieces that you can buy to make the area welcoming and comfortable for your guests.
Outdoor furniture has come a long way in the last few years. The durable fabrics are weather and fade resistant and most sets can withstand the elements for many years. A few bench style seats and a table is all you need to create an inviting conversation area in your yard. If you have more room to work with, it's a great idea to have a place for the adults to gather and a separate area where kids can safely play together.
Propane heaters make the perfect addition for cool summer nights. They come in lots of sizes and styles and they can help you enjoy your patio well into the fall. If you want to stick with natural elements, consider getting an enclosed fireplace. The smell and crackling of the burning wood will make you feel like you are camping right in your own backyard.
